The Audubon swamp garden sits on 60 acres of dark waters in a cypress and tupelo gum swamp, engulfed with duckweed, the Audubon Swamp Garden is home of many animals including alligators and a wide variety of birds. It became famous when John J. Audubon visited 150 years ago in search of waterfowl specimens for his paintings.
